As an experienced conference producer, I work collaboratively with internal subject matter experts to develop industry-leading events that project true thought leadership, feature leading independent speakers (and sometimes celebrities), as well as key reporters and editors, all with well-executed logistics. I am also adept at creating original and attractive "value bundles" for sponsors, as well as "early bird discount" and "guest attendance" programs that increase attendance and deliver strong top/bottom-line performance.
I am experienced with the latest online event management software (e.g. Cvent), as well as knowing how to achieve similar results without using these sometimes "bleeding edge" new systems.
From concept-to-execution, I lead InfraMation (www.inframation.org) from 35 attendees to becoming the world's largest thermal imaging conference with 700+ loyal attendees annually. It routinely attracts major media attention, celebrity speakers, and millions in recurring revenue. It also became a "market research" hub, where I implemented a formal market research program: moderating new product development focus groups, facilitating strategic brainstorming sessions, even securing video-testimonial interviews.
At Genscape, I assembled a leading Energy Commodities conference from scratch, amongst the first to provide a "public stage" to those aggressively advocating/forecasting the lifting of the U.S. crude oil export ban. We successfully recruited multiple high-level EIA speakers, expert panels comprised of commodity editors from the Wall Street Journal, the Financial Times and the Oil Price Information Service (OPIS). Importantly, we also presented Genscape products from an educational perspective, producing high quality sales leads without being too "commercial."
As "marketing portfolio leader" for DMGT (LSE: DMGT), I helped DMGEvents (one of the world's largest energy conference producers), implement numerous thought leadership, digital and video marketing, and market research innovations at: ADIPEC (Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition & Conference), European Autumn Gas Conference, Global Petroleum Show (Canada), and GasTech Asia.
